Fleetwood win sets up thrilling five-way finale
The Race to Dubai comes to a close this week with the end of season jaunt to the Jumeirah Golf Estates for the DP World Tour Championship.
Tommy Fleetwood put himself in contention to top the lot come Sunday in the European Tour’s season standings thanks to a playoff victory over Marcus Kinhult at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
Fleetwood’s first win in 22-months now means five players head to Dubai with a chance of winning Europe’s season-long title, although Austrian Bernd Wiesberger currently tops the charts and will take some beating.
Matthew Fitzpatrick, Jon Rahm, and Open Champion Shane Lowry make up the quintuplet of players vying for the coveted crown whilst Robert Macintyre and Kurt Kitayama are duking it out to be named rookie of the season.
