Club news

Tough week for Looe teams...

It was another hard week for our men's teams in the County Winter Knockouts.

The Cornish Bowl team lost 4-1 against Killiow at St Austell with the only Looe point coming from Vice Captain Richard Earle and Chris Nicholls.

The Frank Wills team also lost 4-1 against Bude at Trethorne, the point coming courtesy of 2 halved matches by the partnerships of Dan Payas & Greg West and Neil Mullis & Paul Shiel.

There's always next year guys!

82 not out...

"As far as playing until 52, I hope that's the case.” – Tiger Woods

Back into the ring for the first time since knee surgery, Tiger Woods once again proved that class is permanent by equaling Sam Snead’s PGA Tour record of 82 wins with victory at the inaugural Zozo Championship.

A typhoon named Bualoi (which wiped out play on Friday) and the requirement for a fifth day couldn’t stop Tiger from dominating an impressive field in which he led home-favourite, Matsuyama by three on 19-under-par.

Snead was 52 years old when he won his 82nd PGA Tour title and Tiger equalled it at 43 - impressive stuff!
